The New Paltz Historical Society was created in 2016. The mission of the New Paltz Historical Society is to engage our community, and encourage its participation in the discussion, collection, interpretation, publication and enjoyment of our rich local history. We will help document and preserve the stories of the New Paltz area, share our varied historical interests, encourage continuing and original historical research, and plan public programs that further our mission.
